HEY just a quick psa to those who don't draw:

When an artist doesn't want you to look at whatever they're drawing, respect that.

When an artist tells you they're not comfortable with you flipping through their sketchbook, don't try to do that.

They have their reasons. It could be vent art. It could have possibly gorey/scary stuff they think you might not like. It could be art they're embarrassed about. Maybe they just plain don't want to.

Whatever their reasons are, respect their boundaries. That way, they'll be more willing to show you in the future. It's really not asking much.

When you try to peek over their shoulder when you think they don't notice, or you grab their sketchbook when they've walked away for a bit, you've immediately broken their trust and disrespected them. Even if you like the art, you've crossed a line they've clearly set down. They're going to make a stronger effort to hide their stuff from you in the future, or even stay away from you altogether.

Drawings can be very personal to the artist, and if they don't want you to see it, it's for a reason.
